Bid Manager
We usually respond within three days
Job title: Bid Manager
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: UK, flexible home, office, or hybrid working
UK offices: Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and London
Start date: Monday 4th May
Please note that to be considered for this role, you must be based within 30 miles of one of our UK offices.
What you’ll do
This is a rare opportunity to own and shape public-sector bidding at hedgehog lab.
You’ll lead bids from opportunity identification and qualification through to submission, working across frameworks such as G-Cloud, DOS, TS4 and RM1043.
Tender requirements will be translated into clear, structured responses. You’ll work closely with product, design, engineering, data and commercial teams to gather input and develop high-quality written submissions.
You’ll manage timelines, compliance and document quality, ensuring responses meet CCS and government procurement requirements.
You’ll contribute to win themes and value propositions, ensuring responses clearly demonstrate capability, evidence and public-sector value.
Alongside live bids, you’ll help bring structure to how bidding works. You’ll introduce processes, templates and review stages, improve workflows, and build a reusable bid library of public-sector language, case studies and evidence.
You’ll also support light sales operations in HubSpot, tracking opportunities, updating pipeline activity and helping maintain visibility across bids, frameworks and pursuits.
What this role gives you
You’ll be the first dedicated public-sector bid hire at hedgehog lab.
That means real ownership from day one. The public-sector capability is still developing, so you’ll play a key role in shaping how bidding is approached, managed and improved.
Your work will directly support growth in a strategic vertical. The bids you lead will influence pipeline, new client wins and long-term expansion in government.
You’ll work closely with the Director of Public Sector on opportunity qualification, pursuit strategy, framework positioning and bid priorities.
As the public-sector business grows, the role will evolve with it, offering increasing influence over process, tooling and the wider bid capability.
